That tent belongs to Monkey. It’s made to look like a tree house, that’s boots up on the front there, but she can go inside and play.
Inside her tent Monkey has 3 toy boxes, her Dora table and her Dora doll house. Can we say spoiled 3 year old? On the outside she has a giant teddy bear that resembles Winnie The Pooh and another box filled with books.
Little Bits Of This And That
Let’s compile the weekend and this evening into one section:
Packing, moving and cleaning is done at the old place. It’s empty, thank goodness and we’re no longer tenants. However it looks like the landlord will have to be taken to small claims court since he refuses to pay back the deposit from the piece of shit hell hole he refused to do anything to repair. He was only trying to poison us with gas leaks and no vent for the gas water heater.
-deep breath-
Okay, so that little tidbit is over. I am thankful for our new lawn. It’s smaller than the old lawn, and I didn’t have to take 2 days to get it mowed. I got it all done tonight, which was great. Our lovely neighbor actually mows part of my front yard for me, must think it’s his. Oh well, that’s less I have to mow.
Than of course I got dishes done tonight as well. That was a HUGE benefit. I didn’t expect to be able to. Today’s tasks I had to complete went much quicker than usual so I had enough time. Yay for free time.
Work
Today was Labor Day, and I hope everyone had a good one. Like I mentioned, today went quicker than usual. Not too much email, I didn’t have to do any digging in WAHM news and it was all around shorter. I have needed a good, shortened work day and it was nice to finally get it.
When I come across something that is just too good, I like to mention it. Today’s great service belongs to Toggl. I use it to clock my hours I am working. It was tough trying to remember when I had to walk away so I could guess how long my last break was because something happened and Monkey wanted my attention. Now I just push the stop button to stop the timer so I can get things taken care of, then push it again when I am ready to get back to work. It will make my time keeping more accurate. Head Start Open House
Tomorrow is the day. I take Monkey to meet her teachers and kids she’ll go to school with. I meet her teachers and kids she’ll go to school with. I am sick to my stomach about it, I am not ready for her to go to school. She’s 3, but I think she’ll have so much fun too. She needs friends and to get out of the house. I think she’ll love it. I’m just thankful I won’t be in the classroom watching. At the roundup she was playing with this little bratty child who was being mean, and his parents weren’t even watching him. It drove me nuts that I couldn’t do anything about it. I can’t tell someone elses kid to share and play nice! Monkey was trying to share and be nice to him, but he kept swatting her away and when she’d try to play with a toy he hadn’t even looked at but sat next to him, he’d tug of war the thing out of her hands.
So very thankful I won’t be there.
I do want to drop her off at school for her first day. Although I think just letting her take the bus that first day would be best for her… but I will be the one not able to let go. 
Damn it, she doesn’t go away from me for longer than 2 hours when she goes to the store with mom. How will she make it through strangers? I want to cry thinking about it.
Monkey starts school the 8th, that is 4 months (exactly) before she turns 4! Darn time keeps flying before I am ready to move on to the next step.
Ask Angel
I didn’t have much time on Sunday so I decided to do something special this week: Ask Angel Features Fortune Cookie Week. Each day, starting today and ending Friday, I share a short paragraph covering one little piece of advice. Get it? It’s in a fortune cookie fashion.
So definitely check every day for something new. This is going to be one of those rare times I am able to have an update for each day of the week (not including weekends).
It is the right time for me to get off my computer and get a long shower. My hair needs it, and I have to see people tomorrow. I will be back and writing as quickly as possible. Have a great night!
