I call this my Legal Mouse Pad. Why? Well, that’s a legal pad with my to-do list written on it and I also use this same legal pad as my mouse pad. Nothing is better than something that offers multi-uses. I should make a prototype styled mouse note pad and patent it… naw. I have too much to do now as it is.
However, my idea is a free-for-all. Feel free to steal it.
My Internet Is Evil
My net really hates me. Listening to internet radio put me over my allowed usage and they put me under Fair Access Policy. That is why I didn’t write for 2 nights.
It was slower than a snail. It sucked really bad and I have a love/hate relationship with HughesNet. I love the speed; I hate that if I sneeze near the router box I might go under their FAP. It doesn’t take much. Net usage limits are pretty stupid, especially when you pay as much as I do per month to have it.
I have to give them some kudos, though. Without my internet I wouldn’t be able to work from home. They are very important in that aspect.
Head Start
I got the letter from Monkey’s school and she will be in afternoons. When I read that hallelujah bells played in my head. We generally don’t crawl out of bed until 8 or later. I have tried to get up at 7:30a to get started with work but that generally fails. I am pretty much useless before 8am.
Next week we have to go to the school so she can meet the teachers and I can hand in more paperwork that I’ve had to fill out.
I am excited in a way, her being in school means approximately 5 hours of time dedicated to work, work, work and getting other important tasks done. That will be a blessing. I will miss her like heck though and I am not all that crazy about her going.
Networking
I have been networking like you wouldn’t believe. If you want to see what I mean here are all of them:
Yes, I am a busy little networker but quite honestly they don’t take much time. Micro-blogging on Twitter and Plurk take seconds to write a quick something or other. MyBlogLog basically works its own magic and Moms United in Business is great for mom’s looking to network about their business.
Tiki Barber Says The C-Word?
As I try to keep this website as clean as possible, this I can’t just walk away from. Did he really say what I think he did?
People are fuming but I am not so sure I am mad. She was kind of being one. I am sure the b-word would have been more appropriate but that isn’t so easily confused with count. He’s human like the rest of us, why can’t we get tired of someone’s b.s.?
I’ve seen this compared to the Don Imus thing, but this is different. It was a personal problem between two people. Don insulted a whole basketball team for no reason. If you want to get technical, he even got his job back.
It’s not the same thing.
This is a good time for me to say farewell and get some sleep. See you all later!

Satellite Internet is tricky business. They have a much harder time accommodating their users when they have such limited space to send the data across a satellite compared to terrestrial broadband. You can read more about how it works here: http://www.mybluedish.com/how_wildblue_satellite_works.htm
I understand why the limits are as they are. Doesn’t make it suck any less. Although, I’ll be one of the first to switch the day another high speed option comes out here. The only reason why I am with satellite internet is because dial up is my only other option.
