Good & Plenty Candy

This is the best candy in the world. I love it. If you don’t happen to recognize what it is, this candy is called Good & Plenty. If you like the taste of black licorice, go out and buy this stuff.

Web Walking

I enjoy the art of finding interesting stuff online and mentioning it. The first coming from the Diary of a WAHM mom, she lists some different work-at-home opportunities that I found interesting. If I had more time in my day, I would probably consider checking out some of those. I work more than enough as it is, so I can’t. But you can. So go for it, maybe even tell me if any of them work out for you.

Do you know what I hate more than customer service? Dealing with customer service. It can be terrible. Sometimes ineffective, and mostly just a bad experience. Then there are stories in the news that make me smile. Like this single mom who works from her home who was having problems with Comcast. She had none of her services working and they insisted it’d be a few days before they could do anything about it, so she used her phone to message Twitter. She complained about the problem and someone at Comcast picked it up off the net, hunted her down and found her! Goes to show that sometimes the right people are listening after all!

Of course there is plenty that can get a rise out of me. This blogger from the Orlando Sentinel mentions a survey through a separate website that posed the question, “Do you think it would be a good idea for airlines to have “family sections”?” What do I have to say? NO! It’s not right to segregate because of someones color, why should we because someone has a child. Reasonably so, I could imagine flying with kids around you wouldn’t be fun. It’s still a part of life. Going to the store with kids around you is a part of life. You were once a kid yourself. I don’t always like being around a bunch of kids, and I am a mom. You don’t catch me flying either.

In the long run, to each his or her own.

Personal

I am so thankful it is finally a weekend. I’ve been waiting for it. As of the end of this entry, I will be going outside with Aubree where she can work off some of that energy she has. Whew, sometimes I can not figure out where the energy comes from. All the same, we will go outside and play and I will knit for a bit.

Oh, did you know you could get information on a place you’re looking for by texting the name of the business to GOOGLE (466453)? They mentioned the feature on the Today Show, and I just wanted to pass that on. It correctly guessed my location because of my phone number and found businesses local to me. It not only gave me the address, it also shared the phone number.

Shopping

As you know, me and shopping go hand in hand. I love to do it. It doesn’t matter if all I am doing is buying groceries. Which is exactly what I did on Thursday. I had to work late because I went to town earlier that day. I had a personal appointment and while in town I decided to get groceries then so I wouldn’t have to go in on Friday. Good thing I did because mom hit a deer with the car yesterday and we’re out a headlight and a blinker. She can’t get it fixed until Monday.

Back to the shopping, the cherries were on sale! I love cherries. They were $2 a pound so I picked up 2 things of them which equals 3.7lbs in cherries. They are Michigan Sweet Cherries and taste so good. I can’t wait to eat them all. I also got cheese amongst some other grocery things. I sold a text link on Ask Angel, that’s why I had the money a day early. It definitely was a lucky break, and it means I am going to save some money this week with the extra cash to help out. I need to save more than I have been. I have no more big expenses anyway, so I am good. Although this just reminded me that I forgot to put the $30 I need on my phone.

I am so ready to go outside now. Aubree is getting a little antsy. So I hope you are having a good weekend. I will be back later to post this weeks Product Review!
