Walmart

As you can see, this is a Walmart. It’s actually our local walmart. I was waiting in the car for mom at the time and decided to take a picture for fun. Not too bad considering it was through the windshield of our car.

No matter how hillbilly it sounds, I go to Walmart for pretty much everything. Everything else I get at Save-A-Lot. Those two stores I could not live without. Well, I suppose I couldn’t live without Goodwill either. They have quite a bit too that is great when I find it. When I have time, and I remember, I’ll be sure to get pictures of the other places.

Hospital

This is actually a photo of our local hospital. I was waiting for mom at the doctors office and decided to grab a photo of the hospital while there. I love how nice photos look on my camera phone when I am outside.

I know our hospital isn’t the biggest one, but you’d be surprised. They can do just about anything there with a few major surgery exceptions.

Tiger Lily

Once again, this is my favorite flower. The Tiger Lily shown here is a different kind from what I took a photo of and posted earlier this summer. It’s not my favorite one, but I love them all anyway.

Unfortunately, I think this is also the end of our flowers for the year. This flower is the last one living. I’ll miss them.

Inspiring Business: Baby Bumsie

Baby Bumsie Website Screenshot
Baby Bumsie
http://www.babybumsie.com/

I first found out about the Baby Bumsie while looking for work at home mom news. I came across this article and couldn’t agree more. When Aubree was still considered a newborn, the poop got distance. Many a onesie was messed in. I would have loved this product.

Why is this business inspiring?

The first thing that attracted me was how unique the idea was! Millions of moms have had the problem with their babies, but something in Shannon Karpinski lead her to do something about it and she did! Not only did she solve her own problem, but she has been able to solve a problem for many parents just like her. She fills a niche, and that’s a big part of the inspiration process.

Then there’s the fact she has a good story to back up her product. It’s something so many people can relate to. A good story behind a product can be a huge selling point. Shannon’s story is inspiring to every sleep deprived mom, everywhere.

Of course the unique design plays a big part. It looks like a onesie, it wears like a onesie, Baby Bumsie took the onesie to a whole new level.

Product Review: Kyocera Wild Card

Virgin Mobile Kyocera Wild Card

This is my phone, ala Virgin Mobile’s website. Considering I use my phone to take pretty much all of my photos, it’d be a little hard to take a photo of my phone with my phone.

After I got my phone I did a long entry in one of my posts about it, but now I want to do an official review of it.

Appearance: / 5

Value For Price Paid: / 5

Meets Expectations: / 5

Quality: / 5

Overall Rating: / 5

Likes

  • The main reason why I bought it is because it flips open and has a Querty keyboard when open.
  • Easy to use. There’s no guessing on how to access things. If you’ve used a cellphone before, then you’ll be able to guess your way through it.
  • The flash. My old camera phone didn’t have a flash on it, this one does.
  • It does not have an antenna like some of the older styled phones, and the antenna area on the phone is at the top. My old phone had it where your hand would be placed if you were talking.
  • It was a little expensive, but worth it compared to the cost of so many other phones on the market.
  • I like phone games, and they’re easier to play on the keyboard.
  • Messanger (AOL/Yahoo) and Email can be used on this phone. That’s a big bonus for prepay service.

Dislikes

  • The programming within the phone seems to be older than it was on the phone I replaced. I think their line of Wild Card phones would benefit from an upgrade.
  • It’s not the best styled phone on the market. They have Querty keyboard phones that are much better looking than this one on the market. Unfortunately they can’t be used with Virgin. I would like to see Virgin upgrade their Wild Card into something much more efficient and better looking.

Overall Thoughts

I have no intention of trading in this phone until they come up with a new version of this phone. I am in love with my phone. If you are going to go prepaid with your phone service, I recommend Virgin Mobile. If you’re a heavy texter, I recommend this phone.

This is the best candy in the world. I love it. If you don’t happen to recognize what it is, this candy is called Good & Plenty. If you like the taste of black licorice, go out and buy this stuff.

Abscissa

Word Nerd:

“the abscissa (horizontal or x-axis) in mathematics is from a Latin phrase meaning ‘cutoff (line),’ and it denotes the part of a line between a point on it and the points of intersection with an ordinate (vertical or y-axis)”

YarnI found this yarn at Big Lots yesterday for only $1.50. I bought the last 2 they had and I am now working on a scarf for myself. In the photo it looks more blue than it does purple, but it does have a hint of purple in it and I love that. When I am done with it I want to try to design a way for me to knit a little skull that I can stitch to it in one corner. I have an idea how I am going to do that, but I am going to hold off until I am done, before I draw it out.

Abreuvoir

TY Beanie Toy EarlyThis is the toy that the x-ray man gave to Aubree after he was done x-raying her knee. She loves this bird and spends a lot of time playing with it. It’s supposed to be a Red-Breasted Robin named Early. After all, it is the Early bird that catches the worm. ;)

Word Nerd:

“an abreuvoir is a space between bricks or masonry”

Mod Note

You may have noticed a new button at the bottom of pages and posts? I set up the plugin yesterday. It is a way for you to bookmark or share any of my posts that you may enjoy.

While I am thinking of it, you can also find me on twitter. If you’re there, I would love to have some new followers and some new people to follow. Check me out, I am under angelashupe.

One last change I made yesterday, as well, would be the link setup. If you’ve bookmarked any of our pages, the permalinks have changed to a format that would be http://www.demandezlange.com/THE YEAR/TITLE. It has shortened our permalinks, of course, but I mostly made the change because I was having link problems after upgrading Wordpress.

Inspiring Business: Wedding Ring Workshop

Wedding Ring Workshop
When I came across this website, I fell in love with it. The idea of making the wedding ring for the wo/man you’re going to marry is absolutely touching. Doing it together, even better! So I feature the Wedding Ring Workshop as today’s Inspiring Business.

Why is this business inspiring?

As I already mentioned, there is something absolutely special about being able to make the wedding ring of the person you’ll be marrying, with them along side you making one that you’ll be wearing in the future. It doesn’t fill a niche, it creates a niche all in it’s own.

Hopefully this business will inspire others to reach out towards the couples industry. There is something there, and I think the Wedding Ring Workshop proves that.

If you know of an inspiring business I should feature here, email me at angel@demandezlange.com with all the information you have on that business, as well as a link to their website. If I like what I see, you just might find it featured on a future Sunday!
