When I saw a blurp about this business, I was definitely interested to say the least. In the business aspect, at least. It’s pretty commonly known I don’t have any aspiration for marriage.
Instead of rice, or those darn bubbles which don’t work very well when you try to blow them at the newly married couple, A Butterfly Affaire goes the next step with their live butterflies for release.
The idea is unique, it offers an enjoyable quality to the customers, and it has that all around special touch that not all businesses have.
For those reasons, A Butterfly Affaire is today’s inspiring business.

There is only one piece of news I’ve found over the week.
After 2 years of hard work on her baby shower ideas website, Amy Cordray has seen some of the best feedback imaginable from all that hard work. She has officially made it to 3500 visitors per day. Quite the milestone!

Tonight is one of those flower weeds that grow in the yard. I took a picture of it the other day because I was bored, pretty much. Hay, at least it is something. If you’re anything like me, then you already enjoy looking at pictures that chronicle the lives of others. That flower/weed is just one aspect.

This is Aubree yesterday when I had taken her outside to play. She had so much fun. It was hard to get her to stop moving long enough for me to take a picture, though. She did, and she posed with her trademark grin. Too cute.

If you’re wondering why I would use a bad photo of myself for the photo on this post, please know there is a reason. I cut my bangs this morning, and that’s my attempt to show it off. They’d gotten long enough to tuck behind my ear. When they reach that length it doesn’t look right, so I had to do what I had to do.

Before writing this, I thought I had already chosen what would be today’s Inspiring Business. I was wrong. When I found a news article on this business, I knew I wanted to feature it instead. After all, I have a special place in my heart for unique things.

This business happens to be 25 years old. Linda Hall’s daughter was a huge fan of Barbies, in turn she started making the clothing for her dolls. A friend talked her into taking some to a craft show. Linda was hooked from there on out.
Why do I find this particularly inspiring? Because it shows me that any simple idea can turn into something successful. Who would have thought of handmade barbie clothes as a market? Sure our children like to make up their own little ‘creations’ but it takes a special mind to see the potential. To have continued in her business for 25 years goes to show the passion it takes, and that it’s possible.
So congratulations to Linda for her Inspiring Business.

To start off the day, Balance InStyle has been nominated to be The SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year which comes with a prize of $17,000. The the press release that was posted by Balance InStyle does a call out for people to help by voting or them. I leave that decision to be up to you.

I don’t know about you, but I am notorious for having frizzy hair and messy curls. Thankfully I don’t have a big problem with curls, but I do have them. So when I heard about this mompreneur I just knew I had to do a small feature.
There are two products. One for frizz, FuzzyDuck, and one for curls, MopTop. Both of which are sulfate-free.
There is a lot of information, and little time. So I would recommend checking out the website (linked to above) or the source (linked below) for more information.

It’s work-at-home mom Saturday again, and that means a business spotlight for a website listed in our wahm directory.
Today’s spotlight falls on Robinette Design. I happen to have chatted with Angel once or twice, and she’s a very nice woman. I love her business, as she makes very nice looking crochet goods. They’re worth every cent. She does great work, if the photos on her website have anything to say about it. Her crochet is 10x better than my knitting. From what I’ve seen it’s not easy to make a business out of crocheted items, but she does that very well.

This is a scan of my business card. I am sorry for the image size. This is the first time I’ve ever used my scanner. It would probably look better if I knew a little more. I’ll have to play around with it another day. Either way, that is is. I just got them today and I am very excited about it. Now I just need to give them out to people, as I get the chance. I need to find a reason, and hopefully I will.
