I would first like to let you know that the reason why I was not around is because our phone line had problems and the phone company wasn’t out here until today to get it fixed. Now that it’s fixed and dial-up will work, it doesn’t matter because the computer is hooked up to HughesNet. It really is fast and I am excited to have it. Zoom Zoom. It better zoom at $80 per month plus the fact that the satellite they put on the house is freakin huge.
So what could possibly be a problem? I am on my mom’s computer right now. Mine won’t load correctly. The login box isn’t coming up like it’s supposed to after the Windows XP load page. I don’t know what to do. I sat and tried to make it work for 2 hours straight. I had to give up. So here I am on mom’s computer until I can get mine fixed. Boo.
And that’s these past days. I will be on tomorrow to talk some more. Right now I have some work to do. Good night.

Just when I thought I was doing good, I got sick. I thought I would go a little longer without getting sick. Worse yet is that I thought I’d feel better by now. But I actually felt worse when I woke up this morning.
I am taking my Zicam cold and flu. I have a tip for anyone who uses their on the go spoons:
Stir it into a hot cup of coffee. The stronger the coffee, the better it is at hiding the taste of the medicine. And if you’ve never taken it, even though the box says tasteless, it’s not.
My laptop is doing very well. I am 100% on here now. It’s exciting to not have to share. I am in control of what happens to my computer now. No random downloads. Regular virus and spyware scans. Regular defraging. I am determined to take damn good care of this thing!
To make up for the 2 missing keys, I have been plugging in a keyboard to the laptop when I know I’ll be doing a lot of typing, etc. So I won’t need mom’s keyboard, I’ll just buy my own from goodwill. They have them for like $3. Very cheap.
Well, now it’s time for me to say farewell! Until another day!

I am excited to say that my laptop has all my programs on it, and is set up for regular use. That’s right, I am totally on my own computer now. I don’t need mom’s computer anymore to work. It’s really nice and it’s very exciting.
I am hoping to get my satellite net installed on Friday, with any luck. I’ve found that our dial-up is too slow to download yahoo messenger or msn. Once I have satellite net, things should go fast and I’ll be able to get more work done. Do more at a faster speed. It’s like a dream.
Either way, it’s nice having my own computer now. I don’t have to worry about my mom downloading bad things. I can scan my computer for viruses while she’s home and I can’t be online. I am just so excited. You have no idea.
I will try to get a picture of my laptop as soon as I can. I can’t remember if I already mentioned this but it’s a Dell Inspiron 2500. Worth every last penny of that $100 I paid, in my opinion.
I’ll be back as soon as possible to post more. Until then, good night everyone!

I am very very busy as of right now. I’ve got a laptop [Yay!] but that means getting everything I need downloaded and uploaded to it. And I will be talking to the installer for HughesNet Monday or Tuesday to get a date set to get it installed.
Getting everything I need to on my new laptop, though, is taking a lot longer and is a bit harder than I thought it would be.
So I’ll be back asap. Ask Angel and my work has to come first right now as I have more time.

You may or may not have heard of pay per play, it’s a website that will pay you for the sound ads played on your website. You also may have, or have not noticed the ads playing here and at Ask Angel, as well as at our link directories.
I am giving it a trial. I liked the idea of pay per play, it doesn’t take up room on the page, it doesn’t stop anyone from reading the content, and the ad is only 5 seconds long. I know how people generally feel about advertising on blogs and websites, and that’s understandable. In this case my goal was to see if maybe a short sound ad would go over well.
Feel free to give you your thoughts and comments on this. I am curious what everyone thinks about the new ad style on here. It’s not definite that I’ll be keeping it yet. I would like to know what my blog visitors think.

I’ve got plenty of news, I suppose. Lets start with the fact that I am able to be paid today. And since my boss’ll let me cash my check at work, I don’t have to worry about the fact that my bank is closed.
Turns out we also have a pawn shop in town, I’ll stop there first to see if I can find a laptop before going to Angola. I’m keeping my fingers crossed because their is a good chance I won’t be able to come home with a laptop. I’ll just keep saving until I can finally afford it. Either I’ll find one or I’ll save enough cash to buy a new one. Whichever happens first.
As for the subject of this post, I have closed down Trivucation. I put up a post announcing that the blog will not be updated anytime soon and I’ll leave it live for a little while until I feel it’s a good time to finally delete.
On top of that, I also deleted my stores. One store I can’t figure out how to delete, so it just has no products. But gone. I closed shop. I sold nothing and with how busy I’ve been, I don’t have the time to knit like did. When I make stuff, I’ll just try to sell it in an auction.
Tomorrow you’ll definitely know if I buy a laptop tonight or not. If I do, you probably won’t hear from me with all the stuff I need to download onto it, but if I don’t I’ll be here writing about it.

Now that I’ve fixed my domain problems, I can start writing as I used to. I’m glad. I’ve missed writing, and I’ve got some fun new stuff to share as well.
One of which has to do with writing. I joined a writers book club, The Writers Digest, which was free. They had an introductory deal of buy one book [it came out to $20 total] and get 3 free. The picture I’m including here is of what I got. I’m over half way through the book on magazine article writing and in the writing kit I’m partially through a book on the 70 most common mistakes made.
I’ve been very excited and have enjoyed going through and reading these books I have. I’ve learned some new things from the article book, some things don’t pertain to me because I am not planning to sell articles to a magazine. But some of it has helped give me ideas and tell me things about my own writing, for myself, that I didn’t know before.
I am planning to buy more books as I can afford to. Thankfully when they send the order card I have the option of buying nothing. So I don’t have to worry about any monthly costs. I just have to remember to check the box that says I’m not buying anything that month and send it back in. I want more on writing articles, and such.
I’ve already started using their inspiration cards that the writers kit had. I’m starting a notebook for fiction writing. The inspiration cards are inspiring when it comes to ideas, different ways to approach the idea, etc. It’s fun.
Speaking of writing, I am saving up for a laptop. It’s for working from home, with my own computer I will be able to keep work near me rather than having to worry about the fact that it’s all on my mom’s computer. Mom is thrilled at the thought of having her computer to herself, and I am thrilled at the thought of having my own.
Along with that, though, I am looking into satellite internet. Of all the different places I’ve looked at, most of them don’t cover where I live - go figure. But I did find that HughesNet offers a deal where you can pay zero down and $80 per month for 2 years to pay off the down payment. After that it goes down to it’s usual monthly payment of $60 per month. They appear to be the only place that does cover my area. It’s a 2 year contract, though.
And let me see, that’s about it for today. I will write more later.

After how ever long it took, I finally figured out what the darn problem was with my domain. It was me all along. Under options I never remembered to change the URL for the blog. That’s right. Because I didn’t, it kept redirecting to the old subdomain. As of now, though, anyone who goes to the old domain - blog.angelashupe.com will be redirected to our new domain - demandezlange.com. So welcome to our new home.
Everything is set up. Everything is looking good. I am excited to finally have it figured out and done.

Chances are the only people that will care will be parents, but I care. Mostly because I am very excited to finally have migrated away from diapers full time. Aubree is on the fast track to being potty trained. I’ve been waiting quite some time for her to be ready. She just never seemed like she was ready to start using the potty, then on Wednesday I decided to give potty training another try and it seems to have worked. She’s wearing her underwear, she’s only had one accident, and she’s even done number 2 in the potty with no problems. It’s very exciting.
I was very worried for a while that she just might never catch on. She’s been 3 for just over a month now. Everything I saw said she should have been potty trained by now. I was hoping I could get her to start before now. Either way, I am more than happy now. She seems to have the right idea and her need for a diaper is down to a minimum.
I still have her in a diaper when she goes to bed at night and when we go to town. She doesn’t wake up at night when she has to go to the bathroom and she doesn’t tell me when she needs to go potty. So I am definitely taking steps with the whole process as she seems to be ready.
No, I never thought I’d be this excited over anyone using a dang potty chair. But I guess that comes with the whole being a mom thing.
If you’re wondering what I do as her special gift for using the potty, it’s stickers. I made a progress chart where we put up a star sticker for each time she’s used the potty and she gets to choose one sticker for herself. Some people call it bribery, I call it incentive and I don’t see anything wrong with it. Of course every parent has their own feelings on this.
Now it’s time for me to run. Have a great day and hopefully demandezlange.com will be working correctly soon.

I was seriously hoping that our new domain would be working by now, rather than still redirecting to the subdomain. I don’t even have redirection set up! I cleaned out my cache and cookies thinking maybe it was just me, nope. It’s driving me nuts. I don’t usually have any problem with this stuff. I messaged back support, just waiting to see if they know what I can do to get it to stop the redirect, considering I don’t have a redirect set up…
Until I figure out how to get it to work, I will be keeping the posts to a minimum. I don’t want to go back to posting regularly until I have it correctly set up to just demandezlange.com.
Hopefully it will get figured out soon because I have some cool stuff that I would like to talk about. Including the possibility of me buying a used laptop. That way I won’t depend on mom’s computer anymore.
