My Last “Official” Day

Mop and BucketI won’t get a chance later on what is now considered today and I probably won’t have time to do this tomorrow. So I thought I’d make a quick blog entry now.

Today was my official last day working at the gas station. I am very sad about that because I liked the job. I had moments where I doubted myself. But I liked working. I liked getting out of the house. I enjoyed getting away from Aubree just long enough for me to keep my sanity. Most of all, I liked having to face the public.

Most people know I’m not usually a people person, but I’ve changed a lot from the misanthrope I was in high school.  If you knew me then, then you know that already.  If you didn’t, then you would never believe it to see me now. People don’t scare me, and I don’t hold anger towards everyone anymore.  I like being social now, something I never was before.  And working makes me continue it.

Another great thing I enjoyed about working was all the work.  That’s right, from the stocking to the mopping.  That’s a form of exercise.  It’s good for me, and I loved it.

I hope everyone will keep their fingers crossed for me in hopes that I will be called in and get to keep the job as a permanent position.

Even if I don’t, at least I learned some new things that I can use in the future if I’m ever to work in a store.
