An Almost-Normal Rhythm
Thankfully things are almost back to normal since I last wrote. I’ve survived the drives to Fort Wayne, mom had her surgery and is home again, and today is the first day that I really get to start back on my normal computer time path. I have to admit, it did feel good to only be on at night to do the must do things.
Yesterday was when my mom got home. I was able to get someone to watch Aubree for me while I went to get mom. She said their’d be a lot of things for me to carry, and that was no lie. At first it didn’t really feel all that heavy either, until I started to get closer to the car. I could see it just a few steps in front of me and my arms were ready to drop everything. In retaliation this morning I have an achy pain going up the inside of my upper arm through to my shoulders. It feels like when you have a bruise.
Yesterday a friend of mine and her son went with me to the store so I could pick up mom’s prescriptions and pay a car payment for her. I was waiting on the pharmacy to finish up the prescription when her son felt my arm and told me, “You have big muscles!” If you look at me, you know I’m definitely far from being a skinny girl. I told him thank you, but I just have fat arms. He’s a silly kid.
So in conclusion, I am happy to finally have mom home. Now I just need a nap.
