Yesterday I got behind and by 1am I was too tired to bother checking on my blogs. It took me a long time just to get my email and my boss’ 2 blogs I post at done. So I am going to make up for that today by doing all my stuff first.
Including writing a little here first.
The other night I stayed up til 4:30a reading a book called I capture the Castle. It was a pretty good book although I didn’t think I’d like it at first. Only really good books can keep my reading until I’m done. It was just that much of a good book to me. Now I’m working on reading Judgment In Justice by J.D. Robb aka Nora Roberts.
How I actually spent most of today, though, was writing. Mostly to 2 penpals of mine. I usually write short one page letters, but I’ve been working on writing more and more so I kept writing until I really did have nothing else to talk about. Compared to what I usually write, which was one page - front of the page only, I’ve managed to double that in a way. I wrote both people 2 page letters, but it was both front and back. I’m going to keep trying to manage to get myself to write longer and longer letters to my penpals rather than the short ones.
Well, I need to get going. I’ll probably write again this weekend.

Sometimes when I get irritated about something I just can’t keep my mouth shut about it anymore. So, for the 3rd day in the row, when someone cut in line to be next at the register when it was my turn today, I couldn’t resist making a nice little comment.
“How nice of you to cut in line in front of me.”
The woman heard me and made a snarky little comment. I let it go and just kind of glared at her.
A little back note, the woman and her cart were off to the side, at the seats. She wasn’t in line. So, in my opinion, I had every right to be irritated at how impolite she was. Whenever I sit on the benches to wait for my prescription to be done, and then decide to get in the line, I go to the back. I’m nothing special to be able to cut in front of people who’d had to wait 10-15 minutes in a long line just to pick up some prescription. I wait for them to be done, because that’s only polite and it’s only fair to those that had to stand in that line for their prescription that was already done.
Though yesterday the old couple who came up from the side and inched their way in front of me, even though I’d been waiting in line already, they deserve the old-as-dirt-and-rude-as-hell award because they didn’t even have an excuse for their impoliteness.
So, to go back to the title of this entry… I suppose cutting in line isn’t just for middle school anymore. It’s also for old people and lazy jerks.

Probably much like the average person, the maximum of my travel experience hasn’t had me leaving this continent. I have left the country, but only to go to Canada or Mexico. I’ve never had the opportunity to visit Australia, although I have a penpal there.
One of the great things about Australia is that it has variety. Whether you’re in the big city of Sydney, or one of Australia’s still great smaller cities.
In Sydney you have the benefit of Sydney Accommodation, shops, many people and more. The great thing about here is that it has everything for everyone. If you’re looking to relax, no problem. Don’t hesitate to walk around the big city and check out the many stores during a lazy afternoon. Or if you are looking to check out the night life and have lots of fun, the inner-city life is bound to draw you in.
Both Perth and Adelaide may be smaller cities in Australia, but that doesn’t make them any less great. No matter which city you choose, you’re bound to find some very great Perth Hotels, and Adelaide Hotels to choose from. Much like Sydney, you don’t have to worry if shopping is what you’re looking to do. You’ll have no problem finding great stores to choose from with all the shopping you could ever want. Adelaide in particular is known for it’s food and it’s festivals.

Since I managed to finish the last book I’d bought, I found myself driving right on back to goodwill today so I could pick up some more books to read. This time I grabbed 6 $.59 books. Nothing is better than a cheap book, besides a cheap book that is worth reading.
The first book I’ve decided to pick up and start reading was Letters From Africa. I recognized the title from somewhere, I have no idea where. It just sounded familiar so I decided to buy and it give it a chance. As I’ve started the book I find myself actually interested in it. The only real reason I find that strange is because my “library” is generally filled with nothing but romance and mystery. So something that is written in this form without the mystery and romance, is strange for me to enjoy. I honestly think I only like it because it’s a human perspective. I enjoy reading someone elses’ thoughts and feelings in letters they wrote to people they knew. So reading letters translated to English that this woman wrote to her family, is intriguing.
I honestly don’t know how I’m going to feel as I read more into this book, but I’m thinking I might actually enjoy finishing it. Even if it is just to see what her last letter has to say.
More than anything else, I can’t wait to move on and read all of the other 5 books I purchased today as well. If only I could sit down and read 1000 pages a day like I used to before I had a child to worry about.
On a side note, I would like to quote what was mentioned at amazon as the description for Letters from Africa [click the image to go to the page].
“Here is a rich new biographical perspective on the brilliant storyteller whose sophisticated romantic fiction . . . made her an international success and perpetual candidate for the Nobel Prize for Literature. . . . [These letters] contain the raw material that was later transformed into her classic memoir Out of Africa (1937). They also reveal her as a highly intelligent and sensitive analyst of a strange new world.”—Bruce Allen, Christian Science Monitor
If you’ve read this book, I’d be more than happy to hear your perspective on this book as well.

Since I started Trivucation almost 2 weeks ago, I’ve been monitoring the traffic it has been receiving and I’m pretty happy to see that it’s been receiving almost regular beginner traffic [approx 10 visits a day]. That’s not a lot, what has me feeling good about the start my site has gotten was the fact that it’s generally regular. No major promoting, yet. When I have more time I plan to get it added into blog directories and such.
I’m very happy to see that my hunch was correct. I had a feeling that the trivia might be hit since it was when I posted trivia here that I got the most visitors. I’m glad to see that everything seems to be on the upside over there.
In the future I am considering turning Trivucation into a 7 days a week trivia site, rather than 5 days a week. First I’d like to get it listed on some sites and get the visitor rate up before I take it to the next step.

If you’re planning to move, or just to simply update the style of your home, you might be considering some lamps to help light up the rooms in your home. The great thing about that is that their are a variety of lamps you can choose from.
I think my favorite type of lamp would be the ceiling fan/light. Ceiling fans can be quite classy looking while helping to circulate air through out your home.
Then you have the option of table lamps. With a table lamp, you can make a nice addition that looks great. Table lamps can be in a variety of styles, shapes and sizes. Anywhere from touch lamps to a classic style lamp. These are best if you have plenty of table room through out the room you plan to place the lamp in.
Another choice you can make would be to get floor lamps. They can be beautiful additons to a room, but it’s not always easy to find a place where the lamps would fit in with your decor the best. I’ve most commonly seen floor lamps strategically placed behind the couch or chair in the living room to make them fit in quite nicely. One really great thing about a floor lamp is that you don’t need room on your tables to place them in the room of your choice.

Thankfully things are almost back to normal since I last wrote. I’ve survived the drives to Fort Wayne, mom had her surgery and is home again, and today is the first day that I really get to start back on my normal computer time path. I have to admit, it did feel good to only be on at night to do the must do things.
Yesterday was when my mom got home. I was able to get someone to watch Aubree for me while I went to get mom. She said their’d be a lot of things for me to carry, and that was no lie. At first it didn’t really feel all that heavy either, until I started to get closer to the car. I could see it just a few steps in front of me and my arms were ready to drop everything. In retaliation this morning I have an achy pain going up the inside of my upper arm through to my shoulders. It feels like when you have a bruise.
Yesterday a friend of mine and her son went with me to the store so I could pick up mom’s prescriptions and pay a car payment for her. I was waiting on the pharmacy to finish up the prescription when her son felt my arm and told me, “You have big muscles!” If you look at me, you know I’m definitely far from being a skinny girl. I told him thank you, but I just have fat arms. He’s a silly kid.
So in conclusion, I am happy to finally have mom home. Now I just need a nap.

One of the best parts of going on a vacation, is taking a vacation to a place where you can find some of the best shopping. Three of the best places in the UK are:
London
London is said to be one of the best shopping places in England. Their are over 30,000 there, as well as tons of street markets. That is exactly why London is one of the best places to be if you’re looking to find great things at even better prices.
While in London doing all that shopping, you’ll also need a London Hotel to stay in. You can find plenty of those at decent prices. Just look around on the internet before you leave so you can make your reservation ahead of time.
Manchester
Manchester is one place that is known for it’s high fashion. If you’re looking for designer clothes, you’ll have no problem finding it here. If you want to go shopping here, make sure you have plenty of spending money. By the time you’re done, you’ll have wished you could have bought everything.
While there you’ll need a Manchester Hotel to stay in. You should have no problem finding a nice hotel that you’ll feel comfortable with.
Birmingham
In Birmingham you have the Bullring Shopping Centre. One of the best shopping spots in Birmingham. You can find almost anything you could ever want there. With over 160 shops and over 25 restaurants, you’ll never want to leave!
As for your stay, you’ll need to find a good Birmingham Hotel at a good price. Don’t worry, it’s as simple as looking online ahead of time! Their are many websites out there to help you out.
So if you like to shop your heart out, then I would recommend checking out one or all of these places in the UK. You’ll never want to leave!

First I’d just like to remind you that you can now find the trivia that was here over at Trivucation.
World,
I have been so busy lately, that’s a big part of why I haven’t been here. I’m sorry about that. Between having next to no time to do anything but the bare minimum when it came to my work and my blogs, then today having the landlord here fixing our tub faucet handle. I just didn’t have the amount of time as usual to be able to come around and blog like I wanted to.
On top of that, I’m still a bit apprehensive about the drive I have to make here soon to take mom to the hospital for her back surgery. It’s a long drive and it’s on the freeway. I don’t like the freeway and I don’t like the idea of driving somewhere where I’m not comfortable. Unfortunately their is no other option.
About the only thing I am looking forward is to having 2 of my friends over. I don’t usually have company but the prospect of having friends over makes the thought of the drive a little less stressful. Also one of my friends offered to go with us, so I won’t have to drive back alone. I have to admit, I was very happy when he offered. I wasn’t looking forward to it.
Now I have to go and get some blogging done for my boss. I’ll write all about what happened over the next week, next week. Until then though I have to say I’ll be a little too busy for much other than the bare minimum I have to get done. Take care

Because of the great feedback I’ve received from all that trivia I have posted here, I’ve decided to start up a new trivia blog which I’m calling Trivucation. It is a mix between Trivia and Education, obviously. So if you love the trivia I post here, don’t hesitate to check out Trivucation which is 100% dedicated to trivia.
If you think this means I won’t be posting any trivia here anymore, you’re wrong. I still intend to post trivia here, but it just might not be as often. I would like to make Demandez a little more dedicated to my personal posts than other things.
