Welcome Surf-N-Earn!

A large welcome goes out to Surf-N-Earn!

Surf-N-Earn

I had 9 people to choose from.  I hate it when that happens, because it can be pretty hard to choose.  Their are so many good blogs, and I would accept them all if I could.  Unfortunately I can’t :(

I settled on Surf-N-Earn because their are so many people out there that tend to discount blogs based around ways to make money from the internet.  And I never understood why people would be like that.  What is wrong with making money from home?  I love it!  And so do Surf-N-Earn.  They have many different tips and ways for people to make money online.  Some of them I already knew about, some I didn’t.

So, why should you stop by their blog and visit?  Because they’re interesting.  Because they share with everyone the different money making opportunities on the web.  So, everyone, please feel free to stop by my featured blog of the week.  They are well worth the visit!

Heart Break Shoebox

Decorated ShoeboxThis auction is… well… interesting to say the least.  Don’t believe me?  Read for yourself then.

About a year back I took a risk at romance in a unique and untraditional fasion. I was raised believing that people were for the most part good and brought up believing in happily ever afters. So I had to this point lived my life in an old fasioned style. I now believe that that time is gone and those innocent feelings are dead. I worked for a company for 3 years. They hired the most beautiful woman I have to this day ever met. (And I have met Mariah Carey!!) This girl stole my heart without even trying. During the time working with her we became fast close friends. Her beauty (I thought at the time) was far more than skin deep. Everyone that we worked with were witness and often commented on how we were around each other. Many times we had to be split so work could get done. To say that we flirted would be a great understatement. We would hear comments like it must be love and when is the wedding planned. lol. However childish these comments were, I found myself falling for a co employee in a way that I had never felt before. I thought she felt the same. A little background: I was 32 at the time and a single father of twin girls. They live with me and I have not dated since their mother and I split some 2 years before. I was determined not to make any kind of move unless it was fool proof this time around. No more games. I see now that there mother and I was just a junction of convinience. It took this girl to show me that. She at the time was 26. I have been told by friends that that is most likely the cause of her actions. Who knows how the womans mind works. Eventually I worked up my confidense enough to attempt to show her how I felt and basicly take what I thought at the time was no risk at all. (Don’t you love my foreshadowing abilities.) [read on]

I want to know what this girl was thinking!  If you read the whole story, you’ll see.  That was quite romantic of him, and sweet.  Not creepy.  But whatever.  Girl… your loss.  Dude, good luck on selling that unlucky shoebox full of stuff.

Pamper Your Tush?

Pampers DiapersWould you like to buy a bag of pampers off ebay?

Yeah?

Then be prepared to pay $877 or more.  This crazy auction has actually had 31 bidders.  All over a bag of unopened pampers.

To all you money wasters out there, go to walmart and buy yourself a bag.  Then send me the left over cash that you would have spent on this auction.  Obviously you don’t deserve to have money if you’re going to waste it like that.

I really wonder about people sometimes.

Books By Email

I recently found a really neat website, and I wanted to talk about it.  Expecially since I’m sure their are plenty of people out there that might enjoy the services.

 Hear me out.

Do you like to read, but never have any time to do so?

Do you find yourself reading a lot of email?

Yes and yes?  Good.  Then you might like DailyLit.  They send you parts of the story you choose, by email.  A new part a day.

For example, I have signed up for The Adventures Of Sherlock Homes through email.  It will be delivered in 131 parts.  One a day.  The cool thing is, you can click a link to receive the next one before it’s schedualed sending time, if you choose.  You don’t have to wait til the next day, if you don’t want to, for the next part.

So, check it out.  Hay… they’re free e-books!

Google News… Where Are You?

Quick warning.  I probably won’t be here tomorrow.  I’ve got some things to do when I’m on, and my online time will be very limited because my mom will be home.  Which, of course, means that I won’t have much time when I can get on.  I’ll only have enough time to do what I have to do.  The only exception would be if some celebrity decided to do something dramatic.  I always have time to take 5 minutes to write about that :)  Or about TV news.

Giving The Gift That Moves

Jessica SimpsonI am not, in general, a fan of any one famous person.  In my mind, they’re just humans with more money than any one person should have.  So when everyone jumped on the “Jessica Simpson SUCKS!” bandwagon, I chilled on the side of the road.  Sure, she seemed a little dense at times.  She also seemed like she was a down to earth gal on the talk shows I saw her on.  So when I read this, I was glad to hear it.  We hear about so many bad things when it comes to celebrities, so this being in the news made me want to get out some pom poms and start cheering.

The pop star, 26, drew cheers when she drove through the gates of the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, in a white 2007 Chrysler Town & Country and handed the keys to Mama Lupita, who runs the home.

“The kids were cheering when she pulled up,” Simpson’s rep tells PEOPLE. “They surrounded the car and were so excited to see her. They kept saying, ‘Muchas gracias! Muchas gracias!’ A few of them spoke English and said, ‘We love you, Jessica!’”

Mama Lupita, who speaks little English, was the first to give Simpson a big hug.

“I’m so honored and happy to be able to help,” said Simpson, who hugged Mama Lupita and the throng of kids who had waited anxiously to see her and presented her with gifts, including an engraved plaque with a photo of the kids and a beaded necklace they’d made for her.

Simpson laughed when a mariachi band burst onto the scene to serenade her (the kids had saved up to hire the group by selling jewelry they crafted themselves).

“What an amazing surprise!” Simpson said, putting her hand on her heart.

It’s the littlest things that count.  And It really moves me to see what Jessica has done for those kids and “Mama Lupita”.  5 cheers for Jessica Simpson.  Hip Hip Hurray!

On a side note, I heard recently about Angelina Jolie donating to her favorite orphanage.  I want to throw in 5 cheers for her as well, even though I didn’t get a chance to write about it when I read it.  The giving mood is in the air!
